Gatefold Cardsleeve Live show played at the Lawrence Arts Theater in Kansas. The new live album features a special backing orchestra that includes live strings, a banjo, and a full horn section. It also contains tracks taken from his solo album and a few songs he had previously written with The New Amsterdamns. Pryor shares (via Equal Vision), “I’ve been trying to make this mini-orchestra show happen for about eight years. I love how it turned out but I don’t think I’ll ever do it again. It’s a logistical nightmare. Good thing we got it on tape.”
