The countertenor Matthias Lucht first studied Viola at the University of Music in Mannheim. After a while he started his singing studies with Gerd Türk. A scholarschip of the DAAD (german akademic exchange service) enabeled him to continiu his studies at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with Howard Crook and Udo Reinemann. At the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis he settled his knowlege in early music with Andreas Scholl.
