Rock and Pop
Finnish songwriter Matti Jasu began his music career in 2004 when he formed a pop group called Goodnight Monsters with his friend Valtteri Virtanen. During the next six years the band released two albums (The Brain That Wouldn't Die in 2005 and Summer Challenge in 2008) and played gigs around Europe. In 2010 Jasu split the group and continued as a singer-songwriter. Since then he has released 3 albums: Samurai Vs. The Computer (2012), Pin On The Map (2013) and Gone to the Dogs (2016). Matti Jasu’s biggest influences are American singer-songwriters and British bands. The musical style varies from rock and garage to country and folk – pop ballads can be found next to the lengthy and loud guitar jams.
