Presently Maunalua consists of Bobby Moderow, Jr., Kahi Kaonohi, and Richard Gideon. Prior to 2009, the third member of the group was Bruce Spencer. Moderow is the lead musician with falsetto vocals and slack-key guitar, the latter learned from study with Ray Kane. The group has released three albums, all of which have received Na Hoku Hanohano awards. At the time of this submission (December 26, 2013), Maunalua performs Wednesday nights at Corner Kitchen in the Kapahulu area of Honolulu.
