Deutsche Grammophon Avantgarde series. Backcover liner notes in German, English & French. This pressing includes " Manufactured by Deutsche Grammophon" on the back cover in addition to "Printed in Germany by Gebruder Janecke, Hannover." Der Schall (1968), for five players (with 54 instruments). Performed on 54 plucked instruments, wind instruments & percussion. Recorded 5-6 November 1969 at Studio-Rhenus, Godorf bei Köln, Germany. Recordings were supervised by the composer, Mauricio Kagel. All 54 instruments are noted in the Liner notes. This record was sold seperately from Avantgarde Vol. 3.
