Max Ehrmann was an American writer, poet, and attorney from Terre Haute, Indiana (Born September 26, 1872 – Died September 9, 1945). He wrote several poems and works of prose which often centered on spiritual & esoteric themes. "Desiderata" (Latin: "things desired") is the most famous of these works and it has often been translated into various languages and set to music.
