Max worked with : Vic Davis (1930 in tour) ; Joe Gibson ; Tommy Kinsman (1931) ; Teddy Sinclir (1932) ; Jack Hylton (1932-'33) ; Sydney Lipton (1934-'35) ; Carroll Gibbons (1935-1939) ; Sid Phillips ; George Scott-Wood (in tour, 1942 & 1943) ; Jack Payne (1944-'45) ; Stéphane Grappelli ; Sid Phillips (late 1945 - early 1950s) ; Freelance (1950s) and teacher.
