Single DE 2009 on FilmPals label
Jazz (Free Improvisation)
This video was recorded at the FMP festival Free Music in Berlin in 1984. Max Eastley plays his mobile sound sculptures made of wood, metall and rubber. Phil Minton is moving on the floor, wrapped in plastic, making vocal noise. A.R. Penck is painting on a big wall of the distinguished Akademie der Künste, Berlin, while Kowald is working his double bass as usual... A limited edition of 100 DVD-R was made at the occasion of an exhibition at the Weserburg Museum of Modern Art in Bremen, where this video was part of the A.R. Penck exhibition from August 2009 until May 2010. The DVD-R comes on foam in a round metal box with a transparent top and it is numbered and signed by filmmaker Ebba Jahn.
