Austro-German with hebrew origins tenor vocals and schlager singer ✰ February 24, 1883 Baden, Wien ✞ October 17, 1953 Straubing, Niederbayern, Germany During his career, used several psudonyms as Fred Carlo, Alfred Senger, Max Steinert, Carlos Cantieni or Carlo Arimondi 1910 - started recording career solo or in duet with Carl Nebe, Lucie Bernado or Hedwig Zimmer In the 1910's was part of Das Nebe-Quartett In the 1920's had brilliant success. The success of Max Kuttner on gramophone recordings was likely due to the fact that was trained as tenor vocals very well for the acoustic recording process. In 1930's his success has faded due to the changing public taste (foxtrot and swing). 1933 - left Germany. Emigrated to Shanghai, China, where played several years at theater under direction by Alfred Dreyfus. 1945 - after disintegration of Shanghai theatre, Max Kuttner returned to Germany, established in Straubing, Niederbayern.
