The core of the Max Ribner Band came together in 2009, when Berklee College of Music graduate Max arrived in Portland, drawn by its arts scene and natural beauty. He quickly found himself at the center of a vibrant funk/jazz scene, and built a solid reputation as a top-notch flugelhorn player and musician, aided by performances with local heavyweights Esperanza Spalding, Medicine For the People, and Patrick Lamb to name a few.
