Maximum Bob

A.k.a. Bobby Gillespie

Maximum Bob is an alias Bobby Gillespie used for a one-off 12" he did with The Orb in 1992. Originally there had been plans for Bobby to sing on a track (possibly "Assassin") from the then-forthcoming second Orb album, "U.F.Orb", but that didn't come to fruition. Instead, they recorded "Sucker", which was only ever released on promotional 12" vinyl in the UK. (It is unclear whether Maximum Bob was intended to be an alias of the vocalist or the name of a group "project"; on Discogs we have chosen to regard it as an alias.)
