Producer of Hip-Hop/Rap
A.k.a. Bluze
Dubstep and producer Bluze comes from a Hip Hop background, having entered the music scene as a producer in the UK Hip Hop crew First Down, signed to Blitz Vinyl to record the seminal World Service LP and Mad Dogs and Englishmen EP; He lead a double life in the 90's making Hip Hop during the week, and breakbeat/house at the weekend. After 10 years of making Drum & Bass, releasing on various labels and attracting interest from Marcus Intalex, Fabio, LTJ Bukem and Muwookie, a chance meeting with Hank Shocklee at the Miami Winter Music Conference led to his near-instant conversion to Dubstep. He's spent the last few years fine-tuning his sound and finding is own particular take on the genre; deep, sometimes melancholy, but always with beats that nod to his musical lineage. Currently signed to dubstep and electronica label Altosync, his two contributions to the 'Synchronicity Vol 1' compilation have been well received, while his EP 'Silver Lining' continues to get great feedback the world over. Due to appear alongside Benga and Kromestar with production credits on Lady Destiny's EP, Bluze continues to make his mark on the dubstep scene.
