Meghan Yankowskas is a clarinetist with the United States Air Force Band of Mid-America. She performs with the Concert Band and the Freedom Winds Woodwind Quintet. Airman Yankowskas' teaching experiences have ranged from teaching private lessons to coaching chamber ensembles and running studio classes. During the 2014-2015 year, she served as co-coordinator of the lesson program within the Washington School District in Toledo, OH. She has also taught lessons at the North Hampton School in North Hampton, NH, served as a section leader with the New Hampshire Youth Band, and has been a counselor and teacher at Summer Youth Music School out of Durham, NH. A chamber music enthusiast, Airman Yankowskas' reed trio Apis Reeds has performed around the Midwest, making appearances at Constellation in Chicago, fresh inc. festival in Kenosha, WI, and multiple school and community venues throughout Northern Ohio. Her solo performances have brought her music to local churches, art museums, and karate dojos within the Midwest and New England. In both 2011 and 2012, she was a featured soloist with the Merrimack Valley Philharmonic Orchestra. Airman Yankowskas received her Bachelor of Music at the University of New Hampshire, studying with Elizabeth Gunlogson. During her Masters of Music at Bowling Green State University, she studied under Kevin Schempf and served as a teaching assistant for the clarinet studio.
