Folk
Parc is a small rural community near Bala in Meirionnydd, and the village Community Centre is the meeting place for this group of young men who sing in the traditional mode. The accent is on folk singing, often unaccompanied, and Cerdd Dant, the singing of poetry to harp accompaniment, led by their founder local farmer Dan Puw. And their hallmark is the close harmony typical of the “plygain” carol-singing style prevalent in central areas of the Welsh heartland.
