A.k.a. The Light Crust Doughboys
The first musical group to perform on TV in Texas (on WBAP-TV) in 1948. The Flying X Ranch Boys were actually The Light Crust Doughboys, but because a union dispute had put a ban on recording, the Doughboys took up the name of Mel Cox's old band The Flying X Ranch Boys.
