Meredydd Evans (born 9 December 1919, Llanegryn, Merionethshire, Wales – died 21 February 2015) known colloquially as Merêd, was a Welsh professor, television producer, editor, historian and performer of folk music written in the Welsh language. He also served as head of BBC Wales' light entertainment.
