On this record Professor Birkelund is featuring the Louis Lot Flute No. 4123 dating back from the end of the eighteenth century. The instrument is now privately owned by the flutist Johan Bentzon. Owing to the "Graf" piano the concert pitch is kept as low as A = 427, which is a strain on the flute being built for A - 435.
