A.k.a. Rainer Jancis, Kristo Rajasaare, Andres Vana, Tanel Paliale, Allan Vainola (ex. vocalist), Kalle Nettan.
Estonian alternative rock band, formed in 1988 by guitar player Rainer Jancis and singer Allan Vainola. The band released two self-produced cassettes: «Ainult rottidele» (1995) and an another cassette including recordings from 1990, self-named "Metro Luminal" (1995). In mid-nineties, the band stopped playing with the original lineup and changed style in to electronical and techno, becoming more of a solo project of Rainer Jancis, than a group. The album "Sinus" was released in 1998. The band got together again in 2003 after re-releasing the early cassette-albums on CD. Rainer Jancis was now also the singer, Kristo Rajasaare on drums, Andres Vana as the second guitarist and bass player and additionally Tanel Paliale on keyboards. The album "Reboot" was released in 2004 and it's a mixture between old and new style. Metro Luminal is considered one of the most influential and original alternative rock groups of the nineties in Estonia.
