Metropolin (Hebrew: מטרופולין) is an Israeli alternative rock and pop band. The band's name is Hebrew for Metropolis. It was originally a solo project by producer, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Ofer Meiri. For the first album, released in March, 2005, he was joined by guitarist Barak Gabison and a variety of guest musicians and singers including Efrat Gosh, Dana Berger, Karni Postel, Sharona Nastovich and Roni Alter. That album is certified gold in Israel and won Album of the Year, with Meiri winning Composer of the Year at the 2006 AMI Awards. Faced with the need to perform and tour Metropolin quickly evolved into a regular rock band. While there have been numerous personnel changes the stable core of the band since 2007 includes Meiri, Gabison, bassist Michael Frost, drummer Tomer Zidkyahu and singer Dana Adini.
