Album 2017 on Dublab label
Spoken Word, Folk, World and (Folk, Interview)
Hear a beautiful, delicate live set from local LA folk artist Mia Doi Todd playing at dublab in March 2001, solo with an acoustic guitar. This rare, gossamer performance was captured on Celsius Drop with DJ Frosty, with whom Mia sits down for an intimate interview following the set. Mia had recently released Zeroone, so the material hails from the earliest years of her career — prior to her work with Mitchell Froom on Columbia Records’ The Golden State. She was set to release collaborations with Dntel and Daedelus, but in the spirit of her early work, this set is purely her gentle, acoustic side. Total duration = 52:34. Track 1.9 is an interview which plays from approximately 33:52 until the end.
