Album 2002 on Columbia label
Electronic, Folk, World and (Folk)
Track titles differ slightly between what appears on the CD and back cover (see images). Although tracks 2 & 3 are described as outtakes from The Golden State, these tracks do not appear on the album. Presumably they never made it to the final version of the album. The two tracks actually originally appeared on Mia's first album The Ewe And The Eye (1997), although track 2 "Planting" is a newly recorded cut down version of the original 1997 version (originally titled "Planting Time"), and is more like the version which was added as a bonus track to the reissue of The Ewe And The Eye (2005), which was also a new recording. Track 3 "Set Sail" is actually a remix rather than just an edit of the original 1997 version (although it's most likely an edit of a longer version which never made it to the album The Golden State). The Japanese language version of "88 Ways" also never appeared on The Golden State, but also appears on the sampler A Sampling From The Golden State, the song lengths are the same but this promo has an additional 11 seconds of silence at the end.
