Jennifer Hernandez (Born September 10, 1984.) known professionally as Mia Vernaza is a passionate, talented singer and songwriter who began her career at age 8. She is from Cali, Colombia and been trained in all areas of music. This includes training in instrumental music, as she learned how to play the conga, bongo, timbale and trumpet. Her training enabled her to participating in various children's groups in the city of Cali. She was also influenced by the talents of her sister, who was a popular pianist back in the 90’s in Colombia. By the time Mia Vernaza reach age 14, she become well-known in Cali. She received recognition from the community and her training was adapted to include lessons in vocal technique, guitar, composing and songwriting.
