Michael Jones (born December 26, 1959, New York City, New York, USA – died September 25, 2016, Venice, Los Angeles, California, USA) was the original name of Kashif, an American multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, record producer, artist, composer, author, director and educator. Using his original name, he was a member of groups B.T. Express, The Bus Boys and Artists United Against Apartheid, later changing his name to Kashif when he pursued a solo career.
