The Houston Opera Studio production of 'Jackie O - An Opera In Two Acts' (in which events are based on history but are largely imaginary or metaphysical). Recorded in the presence of the composer. Recorded at Cullen Theatre, Wortham Theatre Center, Houston, Texas on March 12, 14 & 16, 1997. Jackie O was commissioned and co-produced by Houston Grand Opera and the Banff Center for the Arts. The Houston Opera Studio production of Jackie O was made possible by the generous support of the Hugh Hemingway Fund. Funded in part by the Aaron Copland Fund for Music, Ltd.
