Michael Lewanski is a conductor and artistic coordinator of Ensemble Dal Niente, an Assistant Professor of Instrumental Ensembles at DePaul University School of Music (since 2012), as well as conductor of DePaul University Ensemble 20+. Under his direction, Dal Niente became the became the first ever ensemble to receive the prestigious Kranichstein Music Prize at the Internationale Ferienkurse für Neue Musik, Darmstadt in 2012.
