Side A: Recorded in Vermont amidst sessions for a forthcoming solo LP, Nau gifted us ‘Love Survive,’ a buoyant psych-pop number with a doo-wop feel. Backed vocally by his wife and longtime bandmate Whitney McGraw, it’s futile to argue with their unrelenting chemistry. This certainly is his ‘conquering song.’ Side B: We caught up with Michael in Nashville prior to relocating back to Maryland, his home state with his family. You’ll hear him speak to the dangers of overthinking a record and how he’s learned to not to look to hard for themes, rather choosing to let an album take whatever shape it requires.
