Conceived in a 1986 Pontiac 2M4 Fiero, there ain’t no denying that Michael Rushden was born to rock goddammit! Self proclaimed as the "goddamn Marlboro Man of rap”, Michael Rushden is a solo alternative hip-hop artist who is known for his 1980's rock n roll style and appearance. His style fuses sharp & edgy raps over hip-hop & chiptune breaks while often talking about fast cars, women, dogs, cigarettes and all other things close to Michael’s heart. Frequent collaborations with Rushden & Diamonds band mate Lord Diamonds and Ex-Cadence weapon turntablist DJ Weezl have lead Michael Rushden to recently being featured on the Bronx based hip-hop legend Kool Keith’s album El Dorado Driven and on an upcoming release by the underground emcee / Capcom signee, Mega Ran. In promotion of his releases Rad (2010), Suddenly (2010), Easy Does It Club (2013), Fiero (2014) and most recently Use Your Illusion III (2015), Michael has toured extensively throughout Canada, USA, Europe and Asia while rocking stages with the likes of Kool Keith, RiFF RAFF, Kutmasta Kurt, New Order, KRS-One, Moka Only, Flying Lotus, Slum Village and more! Recently Michael Rushden released the Remixed and Remastered version of Use Your Illusion III which features 6 heat seeking tracks that are guaranteed to spark up the next apocalypse brother.
