Michael Shrimpton (died 15 September 2016, aged 77) was an Australian television producer and served as head of Arts and Entertainment at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation from 1981 to 1988 and then again from 1995 to 1998. He was one of the creators of the influential television music program Countdown (1974-1987).
