A.k.a. Christopher Michael Spriggs
Michael Spriggs was born in Sussex, England October 3, 1948 and formally educated in England, The Isle of Man, and Canada. He attended Niagara University, majoring in Composition and Music Theory. His professional career began in Buffalo, N.Y. when he was 14 playing with a popular local rock band “The Rogues” for eight years. Michael was inducted into the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame in 2004. He has been a Nashville session guitarist and songwriter since 1971 and played lead guitar for Eddie Rabbitt for six years, receiving a Naras Super Picker Award in 1979. He’s played on sessions with numerous artists, including Dolly Parton, Elton John, B.B. King, George McCorkle and written tunes for Kenny Rogers and Tammy Wynette. He has played on over 5000 live, radio, and televised shows and in the 90’s he began exploring his own sound and released his first solo album "Without Words" in 2000.
