Jazz
Streetbeats' is a combination of a number of musical styles which I've been involved with in the past, and my present wish to be free of the constrictions of traditional musical life as I've come to know it (written music, traditional instruments, traditional concert hall settings). I've always been interested in playing on found objects and have even made a profession of it. In 'Streetbeats' I've used these same objects to a different extent, combining popular grooves with complex solo passages and improvisations. The result is neither a totally improvised music nor simple beats but is rather a continuous texture of both elements. Beats which transform themselves into solos which in time lead to new rhythms and grooves.
