Singer / Musician of Jazz and Rock
MICHELE ISAM is a singer, saxophonist from St. Louis who has earned respect and affection from fans all over the country because of the great joy and enthusiasm she exudes when she performs. Michele has been performing in St. Louis and nationally for over 25 years. After graduating from Webster College she co-founded the duo "JASMINE" with CAROL SCHMIDT. Michele and Carol developed a unique and diverse style of original and cover songs.--compelling audiences to take notice. (In 2003 "JASMINE" performed to a sellout show at the SHELDON CONCERT HALL celebrating their re-release of "JASMINE," sixteen years since their last recordings or concert performances.) After 10 years of performing, touring and recording 2 LPs with Carol, the duo took an extended hiatus to pursue other musical goals. Michele joined a newly re-organized "PAVLOV'S DOG" and recorded "LOST IN AMERICA" in 1989. And in 1990 Michele joined up with another local favorite band called "FAIRCHILD." As well as performing and working with "FAIRCHILD" on their 2nd CD, Michele also works with fellow musician BILLY ENGEL as the "ACCIDENTALS." Bill is another multi-talented guitarist and singer who has an impressive resume of his own. Together they play original music and other cover artists.
