Band,
Migrant Family grew out of a group of camp counselors working at a summer camp on Orcas Island, in Washington state, in the summer of 1970. They were an impromptu group of musicians who got together and played covers and originals. The following Christmas they converged at a band member's home in San Francisco and booked some recording time at Dick Vance studios in Oakland. They made 100 copies of their only album, the self-titled "Migrant Family," enough to sell to the camp attendees who were fans of the group.
