Cuban composer and guitar player. Born May, 8th, 1894 in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba; died 15 April, 15th, 1971. In 1925 he founded the three-piece band 'Trío Matamoros' (along with Rafael Cueto and Siro Rodríguez), making popular songs as 'Lágrimas negras' and 'El son de la loma'.
