Miguel Ángel 'Mike' Amadeo is a Puerto Rican songwriter who had written over 200 compositions for some of the very best and recognized orchestras such as El Gran Combo, Hector Lavoe, Celia Cruz, Danny Rivera and many others, The corner of Longwood Ave and Prospect Ave of the Bronx near his Casa Amadeo record shop has been renamed in his honor, and is now known as: Miguel Ángel (Mike) Amadeo Way. Son of the composer Alberto 'Tito' Amadeo Rivera Born in Puerto Rico, he moved to New York in 1948. Has also been the owner since 1969 of the famous record shop 1969 "Casa Amadeo" that was owned before by another Puerto Rican composer: Rafael Hernández.
