Foi vocalista dos Porquinhos da Ilda que se formaram em Março de 1995. Em setembro de 2005 lança o seu primeiro romance "ANDA CÁ FAZ-ME TUDO O QUE QUISERES". Depois assume sem qualquer teatralidade que lhe seja habitual, as suas melodias e letras, a sua voz natural, a guitarra folk (seu instrumento de eleição), e sobretudo a simplicidade . "TEU NOME É MAFALDA" foi o tema que antecedeu o álbum a solo de MIGUEL CASTRO com edição prevista para Outubro de 2006. Os Porquinhos regressam em 2008 com a edição de uma compilação. Fez entretanto parte de Os Eléctricos (2010-2015) que lançaram um CD. Em 2011 formou o grupo Fado Lelé que em 2016 gravaram o primeiro single "Amor Limão" da sua autoria.
