Musician of Rock
NYC native Mike Jeffers moved to Buffalo in the early 1990’s to pursue a degree in Secondary Social Studies Education. Since that time, Mike has been an active part of Buffalo’s metal and hardcore music scenes, playing drums for acts such as Union (19)(Ferret Records), Dead To The World (2) (Stillborn/Universal Records), The Control (Go-Kart Records), Erupt, and Voicekiller. Mike has also been the man to get a hold of when your band is in need of a drummer; filling in for the likes of Wrong the Oppressor and Crippler Crossface. Currently Mike is a member of Buffalo metal band Herod (3). Over the past two years, the band has been busy releasing an EP for the Sounds of Revolution Record Label (Canada), and a full length CD on Philadelphia’s own Too Damn Hype Records (Candiria, Wolfpac). The band is constantly recording, releasing records, and touring the country just as Mike’s bands have done in the past. Herod, as well as Mike’s previous bands’, have shared the stage, and/or toured all over the US and Canada with everyone from the Bad Brains, to the Cro-Mags, DRI, Agnostic Front, One King Down, Shai Hulud, Biohazard, Sick of it All, Turmoil, and Today is the Day, just to name a few.
