Mikesch van Grümmer (January 2, 1950, in Bardenberg near Aachen, Germany; † July 10, 2006 in Bardenberg near Aachen, Germany) was a German jazz piano player, composer and teacher. He played, among others, with Lee Konitz, John Thomas, Gerd Breuer, Manfred Leuchter, Riccardo Del Fra, Ack van Rooyen, Jiggs Whigham, Monika Linges, Gunnar Plümer, Chris Hirson, and Bill Ramsey; he played twice concerts at the Montreux Jazz Festival. As leader of the jazzrock formation "Brummkreisel" Grümmer had during the 1970s a progressive impact in the regional scene in Aachen. He was one of the region's most prolific session musicians.
