A.k.a. Milan Řeřicha
Czech clarinet player. Milan Rericha, born 1973, has shown an exceptional musical talent since his early childhood. At the age of nine he started to play clarinet (by B. Ptáček ). In 1993, he completed his studies with distinction at the Conservatory in Teplice (1, V. Zíka) and in 1997 he graduated with distinction from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (Professors V. Mareš, J. Hlaváč, T. Koutník) and obtained the degree of Master of Arts. In 1997, he successfully completed his studies at the International Academy of Contemporary Music at the Paris Conservatoire in the class of A. Damiens and worked with D. Robertson and P. Boulez. In 1997, he was granted a scholarship of the Swiss government to study at the Musical Academy in Basel in the concert class of Professor F. Benda, where he graduated with honours and a soloist diploma in 1999. Member of Northbohemian Symphony Orchestra (1993-1998), Basle Symphony Orchestra (1997-1999). Touring with Berlin Symphony Orchestra in 2000. Since 2001 he has been guest principal clarinet in the Czech Philharmonia.
