"We first knew about Milo Mills through his solid remix of Ta-Ku x JMSN's Make It Last, and was hooked immediately to his sounds. Further investigations revealed the eclectic nature of this producer, where he travels through a wide range of styles. Quite naturally, conversations started, and here we are with one of our most recent Darker Than Wax additions: Milo's latest piece of paradise, adds 9 succinct tracks to DTW's camp of neck-snappers. Under the guise of trap with its southern influences of skittering hats and melodic maneuvers, these beastly crafted tracks hold a lot more depth by insulating the warmth of low-slung boombap, rolling bass and half-step arrangements. Discerning remixes of Tribe's '1nce Again' (OnceAgain) and Brandy's 'I Wanna be Down' (DownWithU) are given a new lease of a seminal sound that is on point with the wave of evolving beats. 'The Theme' is dressed up with slinky keys and boogie snares, a throwback to a notorious era that will always stay gold – something like this EP is looking out to be."
