Milos Alexander Machek -- born in 1955 and studied flute, percussion and conducting at the Conservatory of Music in Brno. During subsequent study at the Janacek Academy of Music, he regularly conducted the Brno Radio Orchestra and the Academy's Chamber Orchestra. He has been conductor of the Bohuslav Martinu Philharmonic Orchestra since 1983 and is also widely recognized for his ability in the training of young conductors.
