A.k.a. Mimi Spencer al-Khayyam née Mimi Delgado
Mimi Spencer (born 1946, died February 7, 2004) was an American multi-instrumentalist specializing in Middle Eastern music and instruments. She played the kanun (both Arabic and Turkish), saz, and oud. She was best known for her work as a member of Jazayer which she co-founded in 1973. She collaborated on three alums with Mary Ellen Donald and released a solo album, Right Where I Want To Be, in 2002.
