Bored Stiff member and San Francisco's very Mint Rock was raised in the diverse Filmore District of the city, exposing him at an early age to various artforms from the cultured area. As early as 1990 he and childhood friends formed the group Top Notch and would later hook up with Shade's of Rhythm with Equipto to merge into The Hoodies...which later evolved into the now internationally known Bored Stiff. The rest is history, and through the years members of the group have contributed timeless classics and helped solidify the Bay Area's place in hip hop.
