In Bucharest, he studied piano, conducting, ballet and singing, the latter with Magda Ianculescu. He sang at numerous theaters in Europa and under famous counductors like Zubin Mehta, Claudio Abbado, René Clemencic and others. Several works were written especially for him. During 70's vas part of pop vocal group Cantabile
