Miss Kimberly

of Dance
A.k.a. Kimberly Kohler

Idaho based DJ, originally from Texas. After contacting Bobby Orlando, she was given the opportunity to sing on her own record. Recorded in New York, the result was the Bobby 'O' penned favourite "DJ Girl", backed with the equally popular "My boyfriend is a Communist" (released 1983). In 1982, Kimberley re-edited Bananarama & Fun Boy Three's "Really Saying Something" and David Bowie's "Cat People (Putting Out Fire.)" for the New York based, DJ only subscription service 'Disconet' (Volume 4 Programme 13). In 1985, she remixed Bowie for Disconet again ( "This Is Not America." - Volume 7 Programme 9) as well as producing a full 12" mixer in '88 for us label JDC. DJ Girl indeed!
