Born on: 23rd April 1989 in Wellington, Nz Nationality: New Zealand Maori (Ngai Tahu), Samoan Music Background: Ete started singing from a young age at the Samoan Congregational Church in Newtown where her Grandfather was the minister. At the age of 9 sh took guitar lessons and eventually started teaching herself. When she was 13 she took a couple of piano lessons and again, taught herself . In 2006, in her final year of high school Ete entered Smoke-free Rockquest as a solo artist and came second in the Wellington regional’s and went on to come 3rd in the national competition. She also won best vocals.
