In 2007, two violinists born in 1973 and members of the band Matuto Moderno, got together to play and adapt rock classics for viola caipira. The initial idea of Ricardo Vignini and Ze Helder was to show the instrument's potential for its students and to revive the soundtrack of adolescence. The launch of the CD Fashion of Rock - Viola Extreme in 2011 became a success of media, sales and shows, held in all regions of Brazil, Argentina and the USA. In the spirit of the bass guitar, In the Flesh of Pink Floyd became a simple little waltz, Aces High by Iron Maiden and Master of Puppets of Metallica won a levy of viola.
