Moin Ahsan Jazbi

*1912 IN

One of the major poets of the Progressive Writers Movement, Jazbi was born on 21 August, 1912 at Mubarakpur in Azamgarh district of India. Farozaan, Sukhan Mukhtasar, and Gudaaz-e-Shab are the collections of his poetry. He also published a critical work entitled Hali ka Siyaasi Shuoor which had earned him his degree of Ph. D. earlier. Jazbi passed away on 13 February, 2005.
