Album NO 2013 on ERG label
Electronic and R&B/Soul (Downtempo)
Aural Graffiti Records unveils its new sister label, ERG ('Edits & Re-Grooves') with a quality release from Dave Jay: his first official edits EP since the Ray Mang collaboration, 'Mang vs. Mondo', released on Mangled in 2010. ERG has been established with the remit of re-igniting a fire underneath the edits scene; a community currently overwhelmed with laziness and mediocrity. With this design in mind, Dave Jay (one-time member of Twisted Tongue, Soul Hooligan and Phuture Assassins) has constructed distinctive new grooves around 1970s soul/funk cult classics by Amnesty, Howard Wales and Jan Hammer. Such bold transformations set out ERG's stall: re-edits created with passion and professionalism... half-arsed armchair DJs have just been served. ERG will be releasing ‘Mondo Edits, Vol. 1’ digitally via Juno in February 2013, with the possibility of a limited edition vinyl release later in the year.
