An experimental unit from Michigan, Monera formed in early 1997 as the free-form studio experimentation, expression and musings of a gang of four — John Bush, Brian Hauch, Ted Klug and James Rodriguez. In 1999, John Bush went onto bigger and better things and the trio was later joined by Rebecca van der Leest and on occasion, Phil Rodriguez. Using found sounds, guitar effects, piano and anything else they can get their hands on, the quartet explore the music of sound and have archived hours of recordings.
