Dip Tse Chok Ling was originally established near Lhasa in the 18th century by the Most Venerable Yongzin Yeshi Gyaltsen, tutor of the 8th Dalai Lama. Destroyed in 1959 during the Chinese invasion; rebuilt in Dharamsala, 1992.
